I had a client referred to me a last year. She was a single mum, and looking at her options to see if she could pay out her X Husband and take over the whole Mortgage in her own name.
She knew before she meet with me that most banks and lenders wouldn’t accept her income, she was a stay home single mum and not having a PAYG job was going to be a massive issue when applying with Banks and Lenders.
She also knew, that she had made her mortgage payment on time ever time since she had been on her own and she knew she could continue to do so, she just needed a Bank or Lender that would understand.
This was made all the more Challenging because we had to get a pre-approval together so the solicitors could negotiate the terms and this took months.
Finally, mid last month I was able to make the phone call I had been waiting over a year to make, My clients loan was approved with enough funds to pay out her X Husband, and to pay the solicitor costs.
In two short weeks my client will now be the sole owner of her family home, she doesn’t have to move the boy out (unless she wants to) and she can finally move on with her life.
It’s loans like this, clients like this client, that make me so glad I took the leap to leave working for a mainstream bank and become a Mortgage Broker.
